We left early Monday morning for vacation. I planned on leaving at 4:00 in the morning, but that didn't happen. We were on the road by 6:30 a.m. and arrived at the St. Louis Zoo before 10:00 a.m. We had a great time at the zoo; you can read about it here.
We left the zoo and headed towards Cobblestone. As soon as we left the zoo, the rain started. It rained the entire hour and a half drive to Cobblestone and it was a very hard rain. At one point driving along the interstate, we hydroplaned and I was scared to death! I had such a huge grip on the steering wheel the entire time, my hands were cramping!
Thankfully, we arrived at Cobblestone in one piece! We checked in and headed to our cabin to unload the car and put everything away. At 9:00, we had a wiener roast along with roasting marshmallows.
