Gavinism's

My nephew Gavin is growing up into such a big boy.  He's such a joy in our lives!  He's starting to talk more and more each day and the pronunciation of his words are so cute.  I wanted to create a post to jot down some of his words so I will always remember them.

Congrats Cassie & Justin

Last Saturday we got the chance to celebrate Cassie and Justin's wedding out at Scales Lake.  The weather that morning started out wet and chilly and ended up being warm and sunny.  I was so glad that it stopped raining for them because they were planning an outside wedding!  I wasn't the photographer for the wedding, but had my camera out and got some great pictures!  Thanks so much for inviting us to celebrate in your special day!

Junk shopping in Ferdinand

Last Saturday, I picked up mom, Beth, and Gavin we headed to Ferdinand to go to yard sales.  They were having a town-wide yard sale day with over 100 participating.  I bet we didn't even hit a quarter of them.  While mom loaded the car up with junk, I ended up with two 50¢ picture frames.  They hold 8x10 pictures but the frames are these really fun brushed green color and they have some ugly paint prints in them now, but I'm going to take them out and replace the picture.

After yard saling, we headed to a local park to play and have a picnic lunch.  The park was really nice and had lots of stuff that Gavin, and Aunt Stacey, loved to play on.  We all loved playing on it actually.  I've got some cute (and some not so cute) pictures of all of us on different things - some I'll post and some I'm not.  HAHA!!  Our lunch consisted of bologna sandwiches, chips, and cream cheese danishes.  Of course Gavin was more interested in playing than eating, so we had to eat fast so we could play.  It was really windy that day, but sunny and bright.  We ended the play when Gavin fell in a hole and hurt his ankle.  He was getting tired too, so we packed up and headed towards home.

We did drive by the St. Meinrad Archabbey so that I could take some pictures.  I've always wanted to drive by it to see because I've heard how pretty it is.  I took a few pictures and then realized that something was inside my camera on the inside lens and was putting black spots all over the pictures, so I cleaned the camera real quick and then we had to drive by it again.
