What a Busy Day

The day started off bright and early with a trip to the vet for both dogs and both cats at 9:20.  Everyone is doing fine, it was just annual visits for all animals.  The result left us $300 broke.  Reese weighs in at 5.8 pounds, Hershey is my big boy at 16.8 pounds, Clifford the fat cat weighs 18.75 pounds, and little Molly is 7.5 pounds.  Poor Clifford is petrified of the cat carrier, so I always have to sneak attack to get him in it.  One minute into the five minute drive to the vet and Clifford hurled up 4 days worth of food.  It was nasty.  Thanks vet lady for cleaning his cage.  After the vet we came home and relaxed for a little bit and mom came over and we headed to Cancun Mexican Resturant for lunch and then to the Vineyard for some new CD's.  After the CD purchases, we went back home to relax some more before Gavin and Zoe got there and all the trick-or-treating started.  Once everyone was here and bundled up, we headed out for the TOTing.  Shawn and I just got home from going to Wendy's for supper and now I am heading to the couch for some much needed R & R.  I'm so glad we turn the clocks back an hour tonight so I can have some extra sleep.

Disappointment

I went to Dr. G on Monday morning for a follicle u/s.  I knew it was going to be a disappointing appointment.  I just felt different this time around from my first time of taking the medicine.  I had no follicles on my right ovary and she couldn't see my left ovary because of the fibroid that is in the way.  Plus being overweight makes it harder for them to see what they need to see.  I also had to have my Estridol levels checked.  The nurse called me later in the day to tell me that my levels were 239.  A mature follicle is 100.  So according to my levels I have 2 mature follicles, but because they couldn't see them, they couldn't be positive.  So instead of getting my trigger shot, Dr. G just wants Shawn and I to have intercourse every other day for the next week or week and a half and to just have fun with it.  I was SO upset at all of this.  And then on top of it, Shawn was late to my appointment so that didn't make matters any better.

I know I HAVE to have faith and leave it up to God, but it's so hard.  Each month I get more and more discouraged.  I feel like I'm prayed out.  And cried out.  In fact, I've cried so much about this on Monday that I gave myself a sinus infection.

Holiday World 2009

We went to Holiday World one last time this year.  The we was me, Beth, Tommy, Gavin, Mom, Bowen, Heather, Zoe and Brent.  We had a great time and was completely wore out by the end of the day.

I've been M-I-A

I've been missing-in-action from my blog and so lazy here lately about blogging.  I've got lots of posts started, I just haven't taken the time to finish them and add the pictures to go with each post.  Please bare with me, I'll be back soon!

Discouragement

I started my period Tuesday night.  Such discouragement.  It's so hard to be hopeful.  I go to the doctor in the morning for a baseline u/s before I start my next cycle of injections and pills.  They have to do a baseline each time you do the injections just to make sure that no cysts or pollups have formed so that the hormone injections don't cause the cyst or pollup to grow.  Provided everything is ok, I'll start the injections next week and then it will be "busy time" in the Glenn household.

Some wedding funnies

Shawn and I went to a wedding last night for a new co-worker of Shawn's.  The wedding was in Huntingburg at 6 CST at the Huntingburg Event Center.  Since he said it was at 6, I never looked at the time on the invite, only the address of where the wedding and reception would be so I could look up the directions on how to get there.  It was an hour away, so I figured we would leave at 5.  We always run late for everything anyways.  Well then yesterday morning Shawn says he thinks Huntingburg is an hour of ahead of us.  So I look it up and they are, which means we need to leave around 3:30 or 3:45 so that we will get there before the wedding actually starts at 6 EST with is 5 CST.  Shawn went to work and I took tiny puppy to the vet and then ran into my mom on my way home and went yard saling with her.  Time got away from us and I didn't get home until 2:30, so I was rushing around getting ready and taking care of the dogs before Shawn got home and before we could leave.  Shawn got home late so it wasn't until 3:50 before we left.  Like I said we always run late for everything.  We finally get up there with about 10 minutes to spare.  It's supposed to be an outside wedding and there was lots of chairs set up at the gazebo by the lake.  It was freezing outside last night.  As we are pulling in the parking lot, the place WAS packed and no one was sitting outside.  I told Shawn they probably moved it inside since it was so cold outside.  So we walk in and the reception is in full swing.  I thought cool, people are already mingling before the wedding.  Shawn signs us in at the guest book and then asks one of the attendants if they decided to move the wedding inside.  The lady then proceeds to tell my husband that we were probably at the wrong wedding reception.  LOL!!!  Apparently there were 3 receptions at this place.  LOL!!!  Some poor saps are probably wondering who Shawn and Stacey Glenn were.  LOL!!  We find the room we are supposed to be at.  There isn't hardly anyone there.  The groom comes over and starts talking to Shawn and that's when we find out the wedding was at 6 CST (our time) and not 6 EST (Huntingburg time).  So for the first time in our life, we WERE ACTUALLY EARLY to something!!!  You know what that means now, we got to sit outside longer in the freezing cold with the wind blowing off the lake waiting for the wedding to start.  Oh, how I wish we would of been running late!  LOL!!

Overall, the wedding was beautiful, the bride was beautiful, and the reception was fun with with lots of yummy food and cake.  Congrats Chris and Marissa Eye!
