Gavin's 1st Ballgame

Last Friday night Shawn's work had a picnic at the Otter's and we took Gavin with us.  It was his first ball game.  Neither one of us was much impressed with the ball game - him because he was clueless as to where we were, and me because I have no interest in sports.  We had a dinner of hamburgers and hotdogs, baked beans and potato salad.  All the little kids got a goodie bag from WOW that had a bag of peanuts, cracker jacks, animal crackers, bubble gum, and a baseball in it.  After we got finished eating, Gavin and I went walking around the front of the ballfield and found a swingset to play on and some clowns making balloons.

Spring/Summer Yard Sale

We had our annual spring/summer yard sale this past weekend.  We usually have them at least once, sometimes twice a year.  Usually the second one is in the fall.  I had the camera outside and was taking some pictures of Gavin so I thought I would take a few random pictures of the yard sale.  The yard sale was busy and successful on Friday; not so much so on Saturday.  Total, we made around $450 on Friday and only about $70 on Saturday.  I can tell you that I was completely wore out by the time everything was over and put away.

Happy 1st Birthday Noah

Our friends from church, and next door neighbors, had a party on Saturday, May 15, to celebrate the first birthday of their little boy Noah.  I was excited to have Gavin spend the night with us and go to his party with him.  We had yummy cake and ice cream.  The cake came from my favorite bakery, Piece of Cake, and was 4 layers tall.  There was chocolate (my fave!), yellow, banana, and then a small top layer of chocolate.  Noah enjoyed getting into the cake and got lots of fun presents.  Gavin had a good time and got some fun party favors - a squirt gun, noise-making lips, and some bubbles.  Thanks Phil and Rachel for inviting us!  We love you guys!

Noah thought the cake was yummy!

The Little Neighbor Boy

This is Isaac.  He's the little neighbor boy.  He's also the son of our Associate Pastor at Church.  I was sitting outside in the swing a few weekends ago and he came over and wanted to hang out.  Of course since I had my camera outside with me (I had been taking some pictures of the dogs and cats) I had to take a few pictures of him.

Happy Mother's Day Momma

It's sad to say, but this is the only picture I took of my momma on Mother's Day.  I should of had someone take a picture of me, momma and Beth, Beth and Gavin, and Shawn and his mom, but I didn't even think about it.  For Mother's Day, we went to church and then came home and had lunch and hung out.  Mother's Day at church was especially hard for me.  They always call all of the mother's up front to recognize them.  The front of the church is packed with mother's and you look around the sanctuary and all you see sitting are men and me.  I know that one of these days I'll get the joy of being a mother, but in the mean time, it completely sucks!

After church, we came back home and had lunch.  We had bbq pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans, and pineapple cheesecake.  Mom, Beth, Tommy and Gavin were there, as well as Shawn's parents, and my Aunt Dobie and Uncle Charlie.
