Cumberland Falls, Corbin, Kentucky

One of the main things I wanted to do while on our weekend trip to Columbia, Kentucky was to drive over to Cumberland Falls.  I remember coming here once with dad and was glad to be able to relive the memories and make new ones with my sister and Gavin!

Cumberland Falls, sometimes called the Little Niagara, the Niagara of the South, or the Great Falls, is a large waterfall on the Cumberland River in southeastern Kentucky. Spanning the river at the border of McCreary and Whitley counties, the waterfall is the central feature of Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. (Copied from the Wikipedia website)

Well look what Aunt Stace bought Gavin....another pop gun!  Hey Tootie, don't throw this one away!!

Bugs were everywhere this trip!!  Yikes!

The evening of the day we visited there was supposed to be a moonbow.  However it wouldn't of been until between 10:30 pm and 12:30 am.  We obviously weren't going to be there at that time.  Here is a shot I found online of a moonbow at Cumberland Falls.

A few throwbacks from memory lane...
