Happy Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day was a great one for me!  Shawn sent me some flowers to work on Friday and then we went out to dinner at the Black Buggy.  After we got home, we exchanged our gifts with each other.  We are both like kids at Christmas when it comes to presents.  We always open our gifts early.  This year I got Shawn some new pjs, well really some coca cola lounge pants and a Three Stoges t-shirt and then a Reese Cup heart.  He got me this warm, fuzzy snuggle blanket that I saw and two tickets to the Toby Mac/Skillet concert.  Naturally that was a shared gift cause one of the tickets was for him.  He even got a little sad and almost teary-eyed when I mentioned asking someone else to go.  Then my other special little Valentine got his Aunt Stacey a single, white rose, a balloon, and a giant card that he signed (with the help of his mommy and daddy of course).  Below are some pictures of my Valentine goodies, along with Gavin opening his Valentine present from Aunt Stacey and Uncle Shawn.  Of course, he liked the box more than the present.  And doesn't he look cute with his new big boy haircut and big boy shoes!  All of his curls are gone, but I'm sure they'll grow back in no time. 

The Back of the Boys Head

Gavin spent the night with Shawn and I last weekend and boy was that something.  LOL!! He apparently had a belly ache and was teething and the result was a screaming baby during the night and a crying aunt who was tired with less than two hours of sleep under her belt.  HA!  But during the day, he was good and was all over the house.  The only time I was able to get a picture was of the back of him as he whizzed by the camera.  He loved standing at the backdoor looking out the window and causing mischief!

Big Macs @ Midnight

Thank you Jesus for the fast, but I am glad it's over.  Our Church had been doing a Daniel Fast for 21 days this year.  We did the fast last year and I truly enjoyed doing it.  This year, not so much.  While I enjoyed doing the fast, I don't believe my heart was into, and I know that I was not reading and praying and focusing on it.  Because of this it was a really, really hard fast for me.  The last few days of the fast, I basically quit eating and developed some health problems and had a bad attitude, and was very hateful towards my husband.  About 30 minutes before the fast ended, my husband and I were loaded up in the car in our pjs heading to the McDonalds.  All I craved the last week of the fast was a Big Mac.  It was yummy!!

Big Snow

This was the first big snow of the season.  I think we got about 6 inches, however it wasn't wet enough to stick so yet once again, no snowman for me. 

Visiting Bubby

I went over to visit my nephew Gavin on this particular day.  I always enjoy spending time with him.  I had bought him this little toy to help him walk and finally got a chance to take it to him.  Instead of walking with it, he sat on the ground and used it like a wheelbarrow.
