Our third stop on the cruise was at Mahogany Bay in Rotan, Honduras. This was kind of like our private beach day. There was the beach and activities, shopping and food and drinks.
We were up early on this day and watched the ship come into port. Once docked, we walked off the ship with Bowen and Heather and opted to ride the chair lift to the beach. While waiting to ride the chair lift, we saw Brandi and her crew and we all rode the chairs together. I'm glad we did cause we were able to get pictures of our different groups on the ride.
I can't believe Shawn is actually riding the chair lift. I can never get him to ride these things in Gatlinburg. Had to snap a picture for proof! He said it wasn't to bad. Hopefully he'll want to do this at other places too!
For lunch, we stopped in at the Playa Tortuga restaurant. Shawn had some kind of wrap and I had this huge platter of nachos that were so delicious! That's the bad thing about finding yummy things to eat out of the country, chances are you aren't ever going to get them again.
After lunch, it was back in the chilly water for a few more minutes and then back to our lawn chairs to dry off before heading back to the boat.
We were laying between the coconut water booth and the massage hut and I have to admit I was eye-balling the massage hut the whole time we were there. Now I wish I would of gotten one of their massages cause they were a popular place!
Island critters...
On the island, they had a booth that you could do fish therapy. It seemed interesting, and after watching for a bit, I decided to have a try at it. Shawn and Bowen also did this while I was there. And throughout the day, quite a few different people in group did this. It was fun just standing around watching people's reactions to this too!
