Field Trip Fun: Pump It Up!

Monday mid-morning I took a longer lunch and met Gavin's class out at Pump It Up for their final field trip of the year.  All of the kids had a GREAT time running, jumping, sliding, and eating pizza! I can't believe in just a couple days, Gavin will be graduating head start and will officially be a kindergartner!   I'm thankful for a job that allows me to take longer lunches, and lunches at odd times, so that I can join my best little man for his field trips!

First Day of School = Success

From what I have gathered, Gavin's first day of school was a huge success!!  Mom and I went over to Beth's tonight for a first day of school supper and to talk to Gavin about school and what all he did.

He loved riding the bus and got to sit in the seat by himself.
He didn't get to brush his teeth at school cause they didn't have all their stuff.
He got to pour his own milk at lunch today.
He ate one green bean.
He sat in the green square on the circle rug today.
He didn't get to play in the sand box cause there was only two necklaces and other kids had them.
He doesn't have a girlfriend in his class.
He used the little kids potty.
He helped pick up toys when the music started.
He's super excited about going back tomorrow.
He got to play with paints and painted a rainbow.
He didn't get to play with the playdoh.

Gavin's Head Start Orientation

Today was Gavin's orientation for Head Start.  And tomorrow he starts school :(  He's going to be in the afternoon class so I won't be able to leave work tomorrow to watch him get on the school bus or start his first day of school, so I went this morning to his head start orientation, along with mom, Beth, and Tommy.  While the parents attended orientation, I stepped outside where the kids were playing to take a few pictures and talk to Gavin.  I know he's going to love going to Head Start and is going to learn so much!  I can't wait to visit him at school, have lunch with him and his classmates, and attend some school field trips :)
