The Blonde Graduated High School

Last Wednesday night, we spent the evening at Harrison's Romain Stadium football field to help our Blonde celebrate her high school graduation!  We couldn't of asked for a more beautiful evening!

I will say sitting with these jokesters made the evening quite _______ (I'm not sure of the proper word to put in here!)  LOL!

The Blonde definitely had a huge cheering section for the evening.

Shawnie and his ladies :)

Congrats Blondie!  So proud of you and all of your accomplishments!  That sassy little blonde in my wedding turned into an absolute beauty and an amazing young woman!

Alex & Larry: Prom 2014

I can't even believe how absolutely beautiful Alex looked on her prom night.  Her date Larry was quite the handsome guy himself!

Poor Larry was having a really hard time relaxing his face for pictures.  He had this permanent fake smile the whole time we were taking pictures and when I told him to relax his face, he couldn't said he didn't know how.  We were all cracking up laughing at him!

Children's Church Lock-In

Our Children's Church had a lock-in back in December and I took Gavin cause I knew he'd have fun.  We didn't stay the night like everyone else did though...Aunt Stace prefers sleeping in her own bed versus the floor of the church.  Gavin didn't want to stay either.

We had lots of fun playing musical chairs, freeze dance, hot potato, and twister.  They also had a candy cane hunt, and a snowman race.  We had yummy pizza to eat and then some snacks we brought....Gordetto's and chocolate crème Oreos :)  Those are Aunt Stace's fave cookies!

I snuck this picture when we were praying for our food.  Gavin cracks me up when he closes his eyes to pray!

Don't they make a cute snowman couple?  Hee ;)

And "Miss A" made an appearance during devotion time to tell us all about the story of Baby Jesus!

Happy Independence Day!

We celebrated Independence Day with our good friends, Angie, Alex, and Allesha this year.  Our original plan was to have lunch and then spend the afternoon swimming and then later that evening go down to the Evansville Riverfront for the fireworks at the Hadi Shriner's Fest.  However, the weather didn't cooperate and it was in the low to mid-70's, which was way to chilly for me to swim.  Instead we had lunch at their house; we brought fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans, and garlic bread, and they provided the drinks and yummy brownies!  After lunch we just sat around and visited and I played Uno Attack with the girls.  Around 6:00 p.m., we headed to the riverfront and set up our chairs by the WOW booth, and then walked around the festival to see what all there was.  Come to find out, we were sitting directly in front of where the barge parked to let off fireworks, and that combined with the echo of the fireworks going off with the buildings in the background make the experience that much more fun!

About an hour before the fireworks started, there was a small air show, which was alot of fun to watch.

It's time for the fireworks!!  Next year, I'd like to sit in the same location, only sit down a few steps so I don't have the wires of the lights in all my pictures, nor have people standing in them!

After the fireworks were over, we left.  On the walk back to our car we witnessed some sort of crazy fight where some older man got knocked down in the process.  Come to find out, the older man was a plain clothes officer and we saw him grab one of the individuals in the fight and slam her up against a car and cuff her and then plop her down on the ground.  It was crazy!!  After that we were ready to get in the car and get the heck out of town; however it took us forever to get out of downtown because of all the traffic!
