Happy Anniversary To Me
Today is Shawn and my 4th wedding anniversary. Because he had to work tonight, we are celebrating it tomorrow night. We are going to dinnner at the Bonefish Grill at 7:30 and then to Best Buy to look at my present. I'm finally getting the Canon Digital Rebel camera. I've been wanting it for a few years, but now I am FINALLY wanting it. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the camera (gasp!), here are a few pictures of it.
Like I said I have been wanting this camera for sometime now, but just couldn't justify the price. Now I've come to realize, I really want the camera. I love taking pictures and would love to take professional pictures. Plus, I am going to be an aunt soon and want a better camera to take pictures of my new little niece or nephew. Shawn is wanting this 80G Playstation 3 that will play PS1 and PS2 games on, so we will probably get that as well. We tend to spoil ourselves with toys.

Holiday World 2008
Yesterday's trip to Holiday World was perfect! We got there around 11:30 and was amazed that there was only about 100 cars in the front parking lot. The weather was great, the park was not crowded at all, and there were no lines for anything. We didn't have to wait in line for food. There was no lines for the rides and we were able to stay on the rides for multiple times without having to get off. I don't think we could of planned a better day. The morning started off wet and yucky, but by the time we got there, the rain stopped and the sun peaked out of the clouds off and on. Me, Beth, Bowen, Heather, Zoe, Brent, Kathy and Owen had a wonderful time!! In fact, I believe we are planning a trip back next Saturday.
You know me and my camera got a little picture happy, so I've uploaded quite a few pics in this post.
I love in this picture how you can see her peeking her head over the side of the ride for the picture.
Bethie spoiled Zoe by letting her play games and winning prizes. This is her new stuffed puppy Hershey. (I wonder where she got that name from???)
This ride has got to be my all time favorite ride. It's the Turkey Whirl. But in my younger days, it was called the Virginia Reel. Zoe, Heather and I rode it a few times, and then Zoe and I got back on and rode it a few more times. #5 is a real spinner! LOL!
Poor Bethie really couldn't ride anything so she was bummed watching us ride her favorite ride over and over and over again.
Here is Heather and I on the "Raven"...
Now this ride....lol! It's the kids miniature version of the Liberty Launch. We were surprised that Zoe wanted to ride it, since Heather said she has never wanted to in the past. (Notice her expressions in the Before and After pictures.)
Before:
After:
Here is Miss Thang and I giving Santa a hug.
These ole' time cars were one of the few rides that Tootie could be on. Brent's giving her a little drive through the park.
This is Bowen's parents out for their Sunday drive.
I don't think Brent was all that thrilled riding this ride either.
Awwww....the Raging Rapids. No one wanted to ride this ride other than the kids. I think it has something to do with walking around the park in wet street clothes. Yuck!
One more time on the Turkey Whirl for Miss Zoe.
And last but not least....the Master turkey caller.

Lazy Day
This Saturday has been a lazy day for all of us. Well except for Shawn, he's working. I've been cleaning the house off and on all day and playing with the puppy. I just made a delicious apple crsip and it's cooling right now. I can't wait to have some with some vanilla ice cream. Yummy!!!
You can see what a lazy day it has been for Beth and the puppy especially. They have both been sleeping the majority of the day. Beth hasn't been feeling well today so she slept most of the day. The puppy just likes sleeping. :)
And then of course the puppy has to pose for a few pics to show off his one of this new t-shirts. I got him two new t-shirts at Walmart last night, size XXS. Well as tiny as my puppy is, he isn't XXS.
And his new chew bone that Aunt Beth got him.
And last but not least, a picture of him wearing his new collar that we got from Camille's Studio & Comfy Collars.

More Storm Damage
Well we have more damage (I guess that's the word I want to use) from Sunday's winds. Monday evening when I was putting away some ice cream I had bought, I discovered water dripping out of the ice maker. Well come to find out that when the electricity came back on Sunday, our refrigerator didn't come back on. So I called the insurance company to add that to my list of claims. I'm still waiting on the insurance adjuster to come out and access the damage. In the meantime, I've had a couple of family and friends take a look at the refrigerator and they can't figure it out. So we called a refrigeration repair man and he came out today. He said it was the motherboard that was burnt up and he replaced it. $170 later. I'm glad that's all it was and that we won't have to get a new refrigerator.

Storm Damage
The wind storm we had Sunday morning did some damage to the house. When we left for church, there were already some shingles off the roof. By the time we got to church, the neighbor had called Shawn and said that the siding was coming off the house and that all of our patio furniture was blowing around the backyard and the grills had overturned. A couple of our neighbors came to the rescue and gathered everything up and put it in our garage for us. I took some pictures of the noticeable damage and will be putting in a call to our insurance company.
Since church was cancelled Sunday night, we went over to our friends Heather and Bowen's house. They were without electricity, and had been for some time, and probably will be for some time. We had dinner that they made in a makeshift fire area. Then we sat around and talked while the kids (noticed the big kid in the last picture) played a game. Then we all got in the truck and went to Bowen's grandpa's farm and gathered some apples so I could make an apple pie or cobbler. Then we proceded to drive around and look at some of the storm damage in different areas. It was a nice evening and was fun spending time with our friends.

Happy Hallo"weenie"
Need I say more?
HAHA!! I bought this little t-shirt (well on him, it's a vest) at Stratman's Pharmacy today. It's really made for those Webkins dolls, but he's almost as tiny as they are. He'll be able to wear it for a few days and then I think he'll be too big for it.
And here he is sporting his new vest at the Subway drive-thru resting on his Aunt Beth's preggo belly. Isn't my little guy so handsome??

Hide & Seek
So the puppy decided to play hide and seek with me last night. Only I didn’t know we were playing! I had been in the kitchen cooking supper and went to check on the puppy in the living room. I didn’t see him anywhere. I called out his name, but he didn’t come. I saw the door on his crate was shut, so I knew he wasn’t in there. I looked around the living room, couldn’t find him, the kitchen, nope not there either. I checked the bathroom and guest bedroom. No puppy. I thought oh no, he’s lost in my scrapbooking room. I check. Nope, not there either. So I went back to the living room and thought I’ll get one of his squeaky toys out of his crate and he’ll come when he hears it. I pick up the crate. Imagine my surprise when the crate was somewhat heavier than normal. I peek inside. There the puppy sits, just looking at me. Silly puppy!!

What a busy weekend...
Friday evening after work, Beth and I went to Walmart to the grocery store. On the way there, we stopped at a yard sale and I found a chair similar to one I have been looking for. I got it for $3. I am going to spray paint it a red color and use it for a nightstand in the guest bed room. So I bought the spray paint and went out Saturday morning to start working on it, and when I took the lid off the paint, the sprayer was missing. Just my luck! So I haven't even begun my work on the chair yet, but here is a picture of the chair now. Once I get it painted, I'll post another before and an after.
Saturday afternoon, I made the potato salad for the cookout, picked up some pictures at Walgreen's that I got developed for Heather and Bowen's parents, delivered Avon in Hatfield, and took some boxes to Chrystal's house before going to the cookout. We had a great time at Heather and Bowen's and as always, enjoyed all of the company that was there.
Saturday evening we also went to Bowen's parents and got our puppy. Little Hershey came home with his mommy and daddy and he's been such a delight to have around. Even all the crying and whining he did the first night we had him. It was almost like having a small child to get up with during the night. Only we have learned that we need not get up with the puppy every time he cries. We've also only had a few mishaps on the living room rug. He's been good and not gone to the potty in his cage and has been pooping and peeing outside.
I've taken lots of pictures of Hershey and he's had lots of visitors today. Mom and Beth came over. Then Alexandra, Alicia, Kelsey & Isiah came over and played with him. Then Garvin and Angie came over to visit him. And later this evening, we walked over to Joshie's house and visited with all of their family.
