Where have I been?
It's been quite a while since I last blogged. I guess I've been too busy to blog. I'm sure there has been lots going on. Busy with work and church. Shawn's dad had to have surgery and have part of his colon removed so we were busy alot with that. Now his dad is doing well and they are staying with us for a few days. My old computer pooped out on me, so Shawn got me a laptop, which I LOVE! We got the lawn aerated the other day, so I'm trying to keep it watered. Messing with that sprinkler and trying to get it adjusted so that it waters the lawn and not myself has been a card. My uncle was FINALLY able to come over and put my door on. Only after I had to call and remind him I had it. It looks really nice. I'll have to get some pictures taken and post on here. I got a few mums from a fundraiser at work and got them planted. Well, one of them is planted in a pot, the other isn't. I bought a new fallish-themed door hanger and just got that up. I want to get a few pumpkins to put out, but with the weather being as warm as it has, I'm not sure it's a good idea to get them just yet. We've had the windows open the last few days and the air off. It's been great to get some fresh air in the house. What else? Oh yeah, Bethie FINALLY got a job! YEAH!!! Praise God!!! Oh yeah, I'm going off the pill in about a week or so and Shawn and I are gonna start trying to have babies. Avon is going good. I have an e-rep website now that you can order from. The website is www.youravon.com/staceyglenn. Well, I'm sure there is more, but that's all I can think of for now. Good night!!

We are back from vacation :(
Well, we are officially back from vacation. Actually we were back on Sunday, but I have been to lazy to blog since then. We went to a family resort down in the Ozarks called Cobblestone Lodge. Check them out here… http://www.cobblestonelodge.com/ . What a great vacation! I got lots of relaxing in….and mostly at the pool. We did lots of fun things while we were there….we played bingo, bet on horse races, sang lots of karaoke, went swimming and layed out at the pool most every day, had a talent show, did a scavenger hunt, played shuffleboard, washers and bocce ball, played lots of cards and board games, had a line dancing and teen club night, had a weiner roast, a cookout, went rafting on the river, got lots of naps in, ate lots of yummy home-cooked food, meet some really nice people and so much more. In fact, we had so much fun, we are already booked for next year. And yes, I took LOTS of pictures and they are uploaded in the picture gallery of my myspace page. You can find them at www.myspace.com/smileygirll . Then click on my picture and go to the gallery called Cobblestone Lodge. Enjoy!!

I see Grandma's house
I really did on Sunday. Actually Beth claims she saw it first, but I don't think she did. This was a little thing we always did when we got close to grandmas house. The first one to see it would yell out "I see grandma's house"! We went to the St. James social on Sunday and after the social we drove out by Grandma Goebel's house to show Shawn were she lived and the lake. The house looks the same, however, one of the trees in the front yard was cut down, the old metal garage has been replaced with a new garage and the old barn in the field had been torn down. If you turned on the little side road, there was a turn off where we could now drive to get close to the lake. We pulled in and walked up to the lake. It looked the same as it did when we were growing up, but different. I know, I'm sure that didn't make any sense. I still remember the lake the same as I did as a child. I wish I wouldn't of been so lazy on Sunday to go back to the car and get the camera to take some pictures. I know mom and Dobie and everyone would of enjoyed seeing them. The next time I am out that way, I will stop and snap a few photographs. Oh the memories!

Exactly one week from today....
In exactly one week from today, we'll be outside loading the car up and taking a roadtrip. I'm pretty sure the car will be stuffed to capacity on this trip...however I'm voting at attaching a U-Haul to the Neon and trucking down the road. Wouldn't that be a sight? We would look like gunther alley then!! HA!! Me, Shawn and Bethie are going to Cobblestone Lodge in Steelville, Missouri. Here is the link to their website... http://www.cobblestonelodge.com/ . I've never been, but Shawn and his family have gone every year since he was born...well Shawn hasn't been in the last few years, but his parent's have been. It kinda reminds me of the resort in the movie Dirty Dancing, but not as classy. I'm hoping I'll meet my Patrick Swayze down there. LOL! J/J Shawn...I love you pumpkin!! Anyways, I'm pretty sure that it is going to be a very relaxing vacation. We will have all of our meals there and everything we want to do will be there too, so there won't be any driving around doing things or figuring out where we are going to eat what meal where. I'll be spending plenty of time just relaxing in our cabin, laying out by the pool, eating good home-cooked food and getting fatter! We'll be rafting and tubing down the Meramac River, playing cards, dancing, and just have a great relaxing time. I'll be sure to post pictures when we get back as I plan on taking lots of them. You know me and my camera...it's attached to my hip most of the time.

I hope today isn't anything like yesterday
Whew! What a day yesterday was. It was craziness from the minute I got up. On my way to work I almost rear-ended a car, a lady at work fell down the steps...and that scared me almost half to death...the scream she let out, the sound and actually seeing her rolling down them...I started shaking and was so scared for her...she's alright though...just sore with some bruising, then all of the deliveries were to new places and each stop was interesting in itself, then fixing something for supper last night...I tried something new and had it all over the place. It seemed like it was just one crazy thing after another.
On the other hand, it was a great day for Shawn. He needed 3 new sales and $150 or so in sales to beat his own personal goal and a contest they had going on at work. The Lord blessed him with those 3 sales and he had another $200 plus in sales. His team won the contest at work so they are all going out for a steak dinner on the boss. Plus he got 50 sales for the month and $5,000 in sales. He was so excited about it!!

Just getting started
My BFF Dawn sent me a link to a blog she started for her family....to keep family and friends informed about what's going on in their lives. I thought that was a great idea and wanted to do one for Shawn and I. I've started these blogs many times and fail at keeping them updated. Hopefully this one I can. Wish me luck!
